banks peninsula

From Auckland, I flew down to Christchurch on the South Island.  Picking up another hire car, I started off by touring around the beautiful Banks Peninsula.  (Thanks for the tip Nicky!)

At the end of the peninsula, there's a little town called Akaroa.  Founded by French settlers in 1840, it still has many French street-names.
